NURSERY – we accept children from the age of 3 into our nursery, throughout the year. If you are interested in a place in the nursery then contact the school directly.
RECEPTION – The Oak Tree Academy offers places to all children from the autumn term after their fourth birthday.
Children are admitted to our reception classes, full-time, on a staggered entry system, at the beginning of the academic year (September) in which they become five years old. We are one of the Stockton family of schools and academies and so the academy’s admission policy works in line with the local authority admission’s criteria, in accordance with current legislation. This allows parents to choose the academy or school they wish their child to attend, providing it has places. Stockton Local Authority publishes a ‘Starting at School’ prospectus complete with preference forms and a list of all Stockton Schools and academies and their admissions criteria. This prospectus is available from September onwards on the Stockton Council website or directly from the council. It is the responsibility of parents to ensure that the preference form is completed and returned to School Admissions Section, CESC, Stockton on Tees, TS18 1XE or online to www.stockton.gov.uk 01642 526605
IN-YEAR TRANSFERS – If you wish to transfer your child to The Oak Tree Academy from another school, this is done by completing a transfer form and returning it to School Admissions Section, CESC, Stockton on Tees, TS18 1XE or online to www.stockton.gov.uk 01642 526605.
