Spooky Fun and Bingo Delights at After-School Winter Solstice Disco!
Children at Northern Education Trust The Oak Tree Academy enjoyed a magical evening of music, games, and pizza in support of new playground equipment.
It was a night of music, laughter, and spooky fun as children gathered after school for a special Halloween and Winter Solstice Disco and Bingo Night at Northern Education Trust The Oak Tree Academy this week.
The school hall was transformed into a festive wonderland, complete with eerie lights and spooky decorations to mark the changing seasons. Children arrived in high spirits – some even in fancy dress – ready to dance the evening away and celebrate the start of the winter solstice.
The disco was a hit, with favourite tunes and seasonal songs filling the air as children danced with friends and showed off their best moves. But the fun didn’t stop there! After the disco, excitement filled the room as everyone took part in a live bingo session. With numbers being called out and prizes up for grabs, the bingo was a huge hit and added a fun twist to the evening.
To keep energy levels high, everyone enjoyed a delicious pizza tea, giving children a chance to relax and refuel after all the excitement.
A huge thank you goes to the Parent Teacher Association who worked hard to organise the event. Not only did it bring joy to students and their families, but it also helped raise valuable funds towards new playground equipment – an investment that will benefit all children in the school for years to come.
With smiles all around and memories made, the Halloween and Winter Solstice Disco was a fantastic success and a perfect way to bring the school community together.
